A. J. Foyt USAC Champ Car with outstanding racing history and ownership. Built by Wally Meskowski and Owned/raced by Foyt through 1963. The car then went through a series of owners and in 1980 was purchased by Anatole Lapine/Chief Design Engineer of Porsche in Stuttgart, Germany. The car was rebuilt/restyled at Porsche skunkworks and successfully Vintage Raced in FIA events in Europe for 20 years.
Back in US, in 2004 the car was refreshed with Chevy 550 Circle Track engine, Tremac 5 speed transmission and Quartermaster clutch. The work was professionally done by Bob McKee of McKee Engineering. Very low time on the new drivetrain. Receipts for recent professional track prep w/new Dunlop tires, water pump/alternator combo, rebuilt Bilstein shocks, new fuel pump, and brakes serviced.
Easy to enjoy with self starter, alternator, and clutch.
