History:

Forward Engineering car, built for Modsports series in UK.

1975: John Harper used the car to set a lap record (1:38) for E types in England at Silverstone Grand Prix circuit.

In 1975 Glen Bunch ran IMSA and SCCA. Glenn Bunch ran the car June 6, 1976 in the Mid-Ohio Twin Camel GT Challenge Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course, Lexington, OH. Finished 21st of 40, and 5th in the GTO class. The car scored manufacturer's points in an FIA race. Believed to be the only manufacturer's points ever scored by a V12 Jaguar E Type in an FIA race.

George Stauffer later raced vintage in USA.

This car is eligible for the Monterey Historics.

July 20, 1975: Falstaff 350 Camel GT Mid-America Raceway, Wentzville, MO Qualified 33rd of 35 with time of 2:18.118 Finished 21st in First Heat. DNS Second Heat due to melted seal on rear brakes

August 9, 1975: 'Bama 200 Camel GT Challenge Alabama International Motor Speedway, Talladega, AL Qualified 28th of 36. DNS due to broken windshield

June 6, 1976: Mid-Ohio Twin Camel GT Challenge Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course, Lexington, OH Qualified 25th of 44. Finished 21st or 40, 5th in GTO Car scored manufacturers points in an FIA race. Believed to be the only FIA points ever scored by a V12 Jaguar E Type.

August 7, 1976: 'Bama 200 Camel GT Challenge Alabama International Motor Speedway, Talladega, AL Qualified 23rd of 24 at 2:32.883 Finished 21st of 24

August 15, 1976: Pocono Double Header Camel GT Challenge Pocono International Raceway, Longpond, PA Gridded 16th in Second Heat, but DSN due to oil pressure

Condition:

E-type V12 built from a new body shell and always a race car, never used as a street car. Body has tag # 2559. Right hand drive. Has original steel nose and fiberglass nose, plus nose mold. Has high air flow competition ported heads, dry sump engine. Three plate clutch and spare set of coated pistons. Car has fire extinguisher system. Brakes and 7 1/4 triple plate clutch rebuilt.

Work of art 6 into 1 Mandrel bent stainless steel V12 headers.

Engine:

Walkinshaw race motor with six 48 IDA Weber 2 V carbs, coated pistons, plus spare set of coated pistons.

Spare fresh short block engine with heads available.
