2000 Lola Indy Car HU 21
History: Originally purchased by Bettenhausen Motorsports for Mexican driver Michel Jourdain Jr for the 2000 Champ car series. Jourdain completed both the 2000 and 2001 for now named Herdez Motorsports with moderate success. Compete race history available. HU21 was originally powered by a Mercedes engine specifically designed for Champ Car. After HVM Motorsports took over the team, the car remained as a show car for several drivers. It's final use for the team was as a show car for Swedish driver Bjorn Wirdheim in 2005. Last ran Champ Car in 2004. CART # 0609
HVM, the current Indy Team, completely restored the car and installed a Honda 1200 cc engine. Can-Am Cars LTD purchased the car from HVM.
Condition: Excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The car has recently been prepared by HVM Racing with fresh install of Honda 1200 cc engine.
Transaxle: 6 speed sequential with limited slip differential and reverse.
Brakes: Alcon 6 piston calipers with 1.1 x 12.9 high performance vented rotors.
Suspension: Unequal length A-arms in aero tube chrome moly steel with push rods and rocker arms to Olin triple adjustable shock with coil over springs.
Wheels: Forged BBS with 10 wide x 15 fronts and 14 wide x 15 rears. Tires are Hoosier high performance.
Misc: Car is set up with road course high down force front and rear wings and under tray.
Tub is full carbon fiber in excellent condition. Due to increased safety measures in the sport, this is one of the safer race cars to drive.
Full instrumentation, removable steering wheel, fire system, 6 point safety harness, great rollover protection.
Outstanding performance due to light weight.
Car is fully functional and would make an excellent track day car, promotional display car, etc
